25 November 1872 — Madrid | |
Monday. 25th [November 1872]. I wrote Connie a long letter & after lunch I went paying visits & found Mme Bauer at home & there met Mme Ulloa—went on to Mme Dragonetti & Mme Koudriaffsky & saw them all so I was out late. After dinner we took Mr Wylde to see the Dss de la Torre– Found the Duke was not home & his return from Jaen cut off by the broken bridge– Met a lot of men of the Conservatives there. | |
