Thursday. 5th [December 1872]. Drawing lesson from Esquivel. Dragonetti called just before lunch to explain why Henry had not been allowed to ride into the Casa de Campo yesterday & to say the Queen had given orders he should always be admitted whether the Princes were walking in the Retiro or not. We went out riding & took a gallop in the Fuente. At 5 M. de Vernouillet called having just returned from their holiday, Ffrench also came & we finish all the invitations. | |
