5 February 1873 — Madrid | |
Wednesday. 5th [February 1873]. No post. I painted & drove out in the afternoon going to see Mme Bauer & Mme Prim & Mme Dragonetti & saw them all. I had forgotten that I ought to have breakfast with Dss de la Torre so I went & left a message to ask whether I shd go tomorrow. In the evening I read aloud to Henry & finished Dickens American notes. | |
