21 February 1873 — Madrid | |
Friday. 21st [February 1873]. Got up just in time to go off & breakfast at Serranos & came home at 1½– Clarita called to say Mirecki’s concert had been successful & he had cleared 8000rs Mme Bauer came to say they had determined to leave Madrid & go to Paris. Mme Ettling came to 5 tea. After dinner Henry went to the Bauers & found that they leave tomorrow & a great many families are rushing off in gt alarm. | |
