31 March 1873 — Madrid | |
Monday. 31st [March 1873]. I still had a headache & so I did not get up till after lunch when I got on the sofa. After tea I practised the harmonium & then dressed for dinner. We had stringed quartett & a great many people came Fernan Nunez, Fuenrubias, Romanas, &c &c We had 3 quartetts & Beck played the piano for a concerto of Mendelssohns– We got to bed about 1. | |
