14 April 1873 — Madrid | |
Monday. 14th [April 1873]. It was a showery day– I went to call on Mme Ettling & found her in & afterwards went to the Recolletos to find Henry & walk but after meeting him we had not taken ½ dozen steps when it rained & we went home– In the evening our usual reception & several people came. Mirecki, Beck & I on the harmonium played trios & then Clarita sang duetts with the violincello. | |
