13 April 1873 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 13th April [1873]. Easter Sunday. A fine day & the sun quite hot. We went to the concert & fetched Mme Vernouillet who went with us & after the concert when her husband joined us– We took them home & then went to call on Sres de Pedrorena. They have a nice little house in the Barrio Arguelles & some pretty things into amongst wh is a very nice wooden statue of a saintess of the Alonso Enno school. Usual dinner of 10—Ruiz Gomez, Genl Milans del Bosch, Weil, Molony, Adee &c &c & after dinner I played the harmonium & we had a pleasant evening. | |
