5 May 1873 — Madrid | |
Monday. 5th [May 1873]. at 9 in the morning abt 1 hour late. I was not very tired & did not even go to bed but dressed & set to work to read letters & unpacked box of books wh had accumulated in our absence. Had news that Edgar & Annie had returned from Para. Messrs Hunt & Napier came up in the afternoon. Nobody came in the evening tho’ we waited up till 11. | |
