20 May 1873 — Madrid | |
Tuesday. 20th [May 1873]. I sat most of the day in the “room” making Miss Bentley do up her gown– Essen called & later Mme Koudriaffsky & her son & then Mme Ettling. In the evening we went to French Embassy it was very hot & dull. I saw Isabel Madrazo & she said she had heard of something for Miss Bentley at Bilbao. I was tired & we came home early. | |
