19 May 1873 — Madrid | |
Monday. 19th [May 1873]. Breakfasted in bed– I went to Gardeners with Miss Bentley & he told me to put Malvavises in my mouth– After lunch I walked to the gallery with Henry & he set to work to make a small catalogue for Murrays handbook while I stayed with Grau & watched him making his copy of the Lotto wh he is doing for me. The carriage fetched us at 4 & we went home– In the evening a few people came Canitz, Tetuans, Andilla &c– | |
