22 June 1873 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 22nd June [1873]. Finished a lot of copying for Henry– After lunch had a long visit Fitch who talked a deal & then in the cool went to the Whytes to lend them 2000 for their journey to England. They all talked at once & were very incoherent but I gather that the 2 girls go to England in 10 days & Mrs & Miss Whyte to Linares. Monteverde, A Weil, Messrs Napier & MacDonell dined with us. | |
