2 July 1873 — Paris | |
Wednesday. 2nd [July 1873]. I had a bad rash all over me wh made me feel rather CD. Went out shopping with Hill. Mr Kennedy called also Baron Mercier. Lunched at 2 & afterwards Mme Ettling fetched me & took me shopping. We dined at the Embassy & Sir Marvin Gordon took me in to dinner. His wife was a showy widow lady a great deal older than himself. The Brabazons were there. We found it rather too cold for sitting out in the garden. | |
