1 July 1873 — Paris | |
Tuesday. 1st July [1873]. Had tea & went to bed till 10 o’cl: when Henry went off to the Embassy & then returned for me & we went to the Bauers who were staying in the Champs Elysées. Found them all in & with them Palmarolis, Esquivel but they were all packing to leave for Trouville tomorrow. Saw Mme Bauer’s 6 weeks old baby. We went on to the Weisweillers & found her in & also saw Mme Ettling whose husband is better but still very ill. After dinner Henry & I took a walk round the Palais Royal & we went home to bed pretty tired. | |
