29 October 1873 — Madrid | |
Wednesday. 29th [October 1873]. Spent the morning tearing up & arranging old letters. At 4 I went out & fetched the Dss de la Torre & took her to see the Exhibition which was very stupid & there was very little to be seen. It was a dia de moda & the band was playing—but it was very cold & miserable. We went afterwards to the Jesusa for the Dss to buy some furniture. | |
