2 December 1873 — Madrid | |
Tuesday. 2nd December [1873]. Finished copying the Virginius despatches for Henry. Three days’ post came in today– Lesson on harmonium of Inzenga. At ¼ 3 went to Gardeners & then to the Hamiltons where I cut the girls’ hair in a frieze over their foreheads in order that Ada’s hair shd not fidget her. Came home before 5. At 5 the Dss de la Torre came & we had tea, congratulated each other on the departure of Mme La Rochefoucauld. | |
