4 December 1873 — Madrid | |
Thursday. 4th [December 1873]. Up late. Mr Hamilton came & brought Ada & King. I had a lot of copying to do. Clarita & her niece called after luncheon & then Genl Concha (Marquis de la Havana). I went to fetch the Dss & took her for a drive. We took a turn in the Fuente, went to 2 shops. In the evening we went to the Canitz’ where we played Vingt et un which was rather amusing– | |
