8 December 1873 — Madrid | |
Monday. 8th [December 1873]. Practised & helped to copy despatches. Went out driving to leave cards. It is the first of the Concepcion & the streets were swarming with people. I came across Henry who was walking & picked him up & brought him home. Whist party in evening, the Canitz, Genl Conche (Havana), Llorente, Valera, Maffei, Jabat &c came. | |
