9 December 1873 — Madrid | |
Tuesday. 9th [December 1873]. Breakfast in bed. Copied despatches to go by messenger who went this eveng– Went with Mr Jameson to the Calle Leganitos to see his school– Practised. After lunch Aurelie Canitz came to fetch me & we went out driving together & took a walk in the Retiro where we met the Aleañices. Came home by 5. Backgammon & read aloud. | |
