8 January 1874 — Madrid | |
Thursday. 8th [January 1874]. I went out in the afternoon, left Henry at Canitz & went to call on Mrs Hamilton who I found in a very low state & at the same time very amusing about her servants & mustard that they cd not make properly. Went to dentist & came home with a headache. The Riaños called also Mme Bauer & directly they were gone I was obliged to go to bed. Henry went to the Canitz & took the Ayltons. I had a bad night. | |
