9 January 1874 — Madrid | |
Friday. 9th [January 1874]. Got up late & then helped Henry with the translations. Charlie Hamilton came to copy for Henry, put him into smoking room. I did not go out & laid down to rest in the afternoon. After dinner we had our usual music, Mirecki, Quesada & Espino. Beck also played very well. Mme Canitz, Sedorovitch, Maffei came. | |
