1 March 1874 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 1st March [1874]. The messenger arrived from London & brought me a dress from Paris. I did not get up till lunch time. We went to the Concert at the Circo. Fetched Isabel Silvela & took her with us. I found it horribly cold & when I came home was obliged to have hot water to my feet & lie down. The Vernouillets, Ruiz Gomez, Gayangos, Capt Vivian & secretaries (except Haggard who is gone to Pau) dined with us. I went to bed with a headache. | |
