6 March 1874 — Madrid | |
Friday. 6th March [1874]. Got up directly after breakfast. Henry went early to the Palace to meet Laurent & F. Madrazo to photo the tapestry there. I painted all the morning. Drove & walked in Fuente. Dss de la Torre came to see me. Later the Ayltons called. We dined with the Canitz. Met Maffei, Gravenegg, Vejarano, Santos Alvarez– We stayed till 12—there were a great many people there. We took the Ayltons home. | |
