12 March 1874 — Madrid | |
Thursday. 12th [March 1874]. Painted & had a lesson of Esquivel. It was a bitterly cold day. We went & paid Mme Prim a visit & then went into the Retiro but when we had gone 50 yards we found the wind so cutting that we returned to the carriage & went home. Music in the evening. Quesada did not come. Mme de Koudriaffsky came with Aurelie but not many more. Sr Esperanza came for the 1st time. I went to bed with a headache. | |
