27 April 1874 — Madrid | |
Monday. 27th [April 1874]. Nety & I went out shopping in the morning in the brougham. It was frightfully hot. We went to Vicentes– Copied music & chatted the rest of the morning. Maffei called & Jabat. We did not go out again—& dined at 7 as Nety had to start for Malaga by the eveng train. Henry took her to the station & saw her off. A good many people came to us in the eveng & played whist 2 tables– Mme Fuenrubia & Ayltons came– | |
