7 June 1874 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 7th [June 1874]. I went to church with Hill & there was a thunderstorm during service. Aurelie called & afterwards we went out to see the Koudriaffskys & take leave of them as they go on their holiday next Tuesday. Met there Maffei & M. & Mme Aylton & Aurelie. We went for a turn in the Fuente & then home. Pavia, Ruiz Gomez, Nicholas, Mr Riaño, Maffei, Pirel Johnson (messenger) & Albareda dined. | |
