17 August 1874 — Venice | |
Monday. 17th August [1874]. We took Idita to the Lido & had a swimming lesson going out to the sand bank. Mr Brown called after breakfast—& then Mr Rate came & we went to Salviati shop & then I came home, had some tea & went off to paint at San Trovaso. Mr Rate dined with us & we went afterwards to the Piazza with him & Morelli. | |
