Saturday. 31st October [1874]. A lesson of Esquivel. Went to call on Mme de Canelaux & then went to meet Henry & walk on the Recolletos. We met Chaudordy & walked also with him. I read aloud before dinner. We went to the Opera to the Dss de la Torre’s box. She & Conchita were there. We saw “L’africaine.” | |
