13 December 1874 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 13th [December 1874]. Wrote letters. We had no post—& the weather is very bad in the north. We went to the Quartett concert at 2 & heard Mozart’s quintett—there was an awful crowd– Coming home the wind was so high my bonnet was blown off. Read aloud to Henry. Chaudordy, Greindl, the Ulagares, Balaguer, Palxot dined with us. | |
