22 February 1875 — Madrid | |
Monday. 22nd [February 1875]. Snow again. I was going out driving with Mme Bauer but the weather was too bad. The messenger arrived from England & with him Mr Barrington who has been sent from Paris as secretary until another can come. Bernadine came in the afternoon to sit with me & we had tea. In the eveng a few of the Corps Dip came. | |
