Saturday. 6th [March 1875]. Recd a long letter from Blanche abt her marriage & wrote her one. A very wet day, I did not go out– Painted & tinkered. Louisa came to see me in the afternoon for a few minutes. Went to Chaudordy’s box at the Opera to hear Aida. Very full house. Messenger arrived. | |
