31 March 1875 — Madrid | |
Wednesday. 31st [March 1875]. I went to breakfast with Dss de la Torre. It appears that some professors have been exited for sending a protest to the Govt abt the new rule & also Col. Olañeta for saying at the Caserio that the King was scrofulous. On my way home from the Dss I went to see Emilia Riaño found them at breakfast & D. Juan ill with boils. Went home & worked to finish my screen. In the eveng we went to the d’Antas & took the Ayltons with us. We did not stay late. | |
