21 April 1875 — Madrid | |
Wednesday. 21st April [1875]. I went to breakfast with Dss de la Torre, found her very uncomfortable with the furniture ½ moved to her own house. The Duke was at home. I kept the carriage & returned directly after breakfast. In the afternoon I was painting when Mme de Canelaux called but I had finished my lesson of Esquivel. In the eveng abt 7 we had a thunderstorm & a great deal of rain. | |
