1 May 1875 — Madrid | |
Saturday. 1st May [1875]. My first letter from Blanche since she married—of 6 sheets– The messenger arrived from England. I went out to breakfast with the Dss & close to her house, met a messenger she had sent to stop me so I turned off & went to see Emilia & then came home to breakfast. Painted & did not go out again. I made cigarettes for Henry & wrote letters. After dinner Henry went to Bauers & I went early to bed– | |
