Friday. 7th [May 1875]. Got up early & painted all day. At 5.30 we went for a drive in the Casa de Campo. It was very hot. There were a good many people riding & driving there & the King was evidently expected– I picked some may wh was in full flower. After dinner we walked to the Bauers. Met there the d’Antas’, Llorente &c. | |
