Thursday. 6th [May 1875]. I got up early & painted all day nearly. Henry went to pay his official visit to Monsignor Simeoni the Nuncio. Mr Aylton called & later the Broutelles & then Miss Saunders, Forster & then the Soverals who seem very nice people are fond of art & travel a great deal– Only Mlle Soveral wore light blue kid gloves! | |
