Wednesday. 5th May [1875]. Went to breakfast with Dss de la Torre she is now in her own house. The Duke was at home. Came home & painted. Read Moratin’s plays. Played the piano. Went in the eveng to d’Antas. Met Vict Soveral & his wife (an English woman) & daughter. He is Portuguese & has been Minister 10 years here once– | |
