13 June 1875 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 13th June [1875]. We did not go to the Lido. Mr Malcolm’s gardener Ferdinando came & we had a long morning at arranging plants in the conservatory. At 4 we went & paid the Malcolms a visit & saw their parrots &c– Brown came to call– In the eveng we went to the Piazza & there met Mr & Mrs Jacelyn. He is 1st secy of Emby at Constantinople. | |
