26 June 1875 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Saturday. 26th [June 1875]. Giovanni ill with a swelled face. We sent for the Perry’s old servant Dominico & he came & waited on us. Went to pay Lady D. a visit on board the Helicon & afterwards went to see Pss Clary. Found her at home. I had rather a headache so I went home & rested. Castellani arrived from London & brought me my camera lucida. Guggenheim called. Our pictures arrived from England. They settled in their cases & Henry very anxious. Went to Piazza & met the Drummond party.
