25 July 1875 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 25th [July 1875]. Went to Favorita in our gondola & took my 30th bath. At 3 went to paint in the Court yard till 5. R. M. did not come– Visit from R. Brown. After dinner went to Css Papadopoli’s. It began to rain a little as we got there & we found all the company in the ballroom– We stayed till ½ past 10 & I danced twice. There were a good many people there. We had a very heavy rain in the night. | |
