Monday. 9th August [1875]. Walked out with Miss Venetia Burton who has come to spend a few days at Langham House. Went shopping & came back to lunch. Drove down in her mothers carriage with her, Mr S & the M. to Roehampton to attend the christening of Marias’ twin girls. Went to Ex Hse & after tea drove down to S John’s church to 5 o’cl service. Honbl R. Henley did the service. Drove back straight to London. Lord & Lady Somers & Addie, Lady Marian Alford, Adeline Guest dined with the M. | |
