14 September 1875 — Walmer Castle, Kent | |
Tuesday. 14th [September 1875]. Breakfasted at 8 took leave of the M & S. & Lord Granville drove us in the waggonette part of the way to Dover with young Mr Leveson & the little girl Lady Victoria. They were to meet the horses & go to hunt with harriers– As the groom did not meet us with the horses Lord G was obliged to drive us all the way & we got to Dover just in time. I had a private cabin & we had a good crossing to Calais & we got to Paris in very good time for dinner. | |
