7 November 1875 — Madrid
Sunday. 7th [November 1875]. Drove out in the afternoon & went to see Lady Walsham who has a bad cold. Henry walked & met me there. I then went to see Mrs Phipps who was also upon the sofa & seemed very well. I saw the baby who is much grown. M. & Mme Ulloa, D. Miguel de los Santos Alvarez, Albareda, Ruiz Gomez, Ct Hatzfeldt dined with us. A great deal of talk about the meeting of Constitutionales wh was held today & addressed by Sagasta. There are said to have been abt 3000 people at it & it has been a great success so much so that Henry thinks it will bring a change of Ministry.
