19 December 1875 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 19th [December 1875]. Weather the same. Went to the Quartett concert. Mirecki played Mendlessohn’s duett for violincello & piano– The Infanta was there. Mmes D’antas & de Poix were there & sat with us. The latter is a French lady wh is here on a visit. Monteverde, Phipps, Lindstrand, Esquivel, Contenson dined with us. I had a toothache & had to retire early & get hot saltbags to my face. | |
