3 January 1876 — Madrid | |
Monday. 3rd January [1876]. Wrote letters all the morning & did not go to breakfast with Dss de la T. as arranged. Went round to Mme Greindl’s to see the Christmas Tree she offers to lend me & then came straight home. A lovely day & sat with the window open. Emilia came & spent a couple of hours. Monteverde came to 5 tea. Recd in the eveng & people stayed till near one. | |
