1 February 1876 — Madrid | |
Tuesday. 1st February [1876]. Last night was the 1st night since Henry was taken ill that I slept right thro’ without getting up to make him tea &c. Henry was able to go to his despatches for the 1st time & I wrote a lot of letters. At 1 we went out driving & walked up & down a few times in the sun near the Atocha. The sun was quite hot. We returned home at 2. In the afternoon the Riaños came to call—also Mme d’Antas & M. Albareda. | |
