3 February 1876 — Madrid | |
Thursday. 3rd [February 1876]. Worked at appliqué Spanish work & finished the back of the chair. Went out driving with Ida Bauer. Took a turn in Recolletos but found it cold. Went to call on Mme d’Antas & met there a lot of people & made acquaintance with Css de Montebello a french lady who was there with Mme de Poix. In the eveng we had a little musical party. Beck & Mirecki played & the Hunts sang. Mmes d’Antas & de Poix came & Morphy and Legation & Sedorovitch & Wagner. They left at 12.30– | |
