21 February 1876 — Madrid | |
Monday. 21st [February 1876]. Clarita called at 2.30 & at 3 I went out & dropped Clarita at the Plaza Sta Maria & then went on to fetch Emilia Riaño & we went to Escobar’s to look for some stuff for a dress for me & then to the Calle de Toledo for patterns of Bayeta to make our “colgaduras” & we returned here early. Count Hatzfeldt came to see Henry. Emilia remained till 6 & then walked home with Hill. In the eveng the Dss de la Torre came, the Silvelas, Alminas &c. | |
