27 February 1876 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 27th [February 1876]. I went to church in the morning & did not go out again but wrote letters. Sent the carriage to take Clarita, Mlle Wagner & the 2 Ayltons to the Prado to see the masks. Henry rode. I would not go this year for fear they should say something disagreeable to me– The Mexican Minister & Mme Corona, the Brazilian Min. (Gama), Esquivel, Phipps & Cohen dined with us. | |
