15 April 1876 — Madrid | |
Saturday. 15th April [1876]. On getting up Henry had such a violent fit of coughing that he fainted away & fell on the floor. I jumped up & got him into a sitting position & he recovered in a second. I made him stay in bed till after 1 o’cl as his cough was very bad & more than ever like whooping cough. Mr Morier went to the gallery & afterwards to see the King. Nelly came & drew. Did not go out. Very cold. Usset, Greppi. | |
