6 July 1876 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 6th [July 1876]. Went to bathe & met Css Marcello & children coming away. Brown called at 2 & I went to chapel to paint. Henry fetched me at 5. Called on Css Papadopoli & found her in bed ill. After dinner we went to Piazza & met Adl Cerruti– Got some books & colours & went for a row. Thermometer 80. Saw Edens under the Giardinetto when we stopped to hear music. | |
